The Album
Born from the isolation, depression, and loss experienced in the fall of 2020, Bond.’s Cluttered repackages acoustic ballads in maximalist electronic, pop, and rock production. Rooted in the despair of losing a loved one, the album showcases Bond.’s unique ability to craft intimate songs that nevertheless feel ready to rattle stadium speakers.

The Music
The creation of Cluttered spans a creative process of 3 years reflecting on loss, depression, and healing through creation. Conceptually, the album follows a singer trapped in a depressive episode where he begins to see hallucinations of gods from the Greek pantheon. Initially, the singer struggles to come to terms with his visions. On “Apparition,” the opening track, Tremblay sings “I’ve been feeling lost a minute / I’ve been seeing ghosts and visions” over distorted, in your face production that reflects the panic of entering the depressive cycle that is to come. As the singer grows used to the initially startling visions, he begins to unpack his emotions and memories with the perceived Gods. Midway through the album, Tremblay performs “Aiming at Apollo / Green Balloons,” the heartbreaking final form of Cluttered’s initial demo. Building upon a simple electric guitar riff, the song builds toward a stadium shaking ballad as Tremblay laments “As I reminisce / I never knew how much of myself I’d / lose.” Later, the album continues it’s exploration of the depressive cycle as Tremblay sings “Now I’m crying with a ghost / Just to get through the night” over an otherworldly acoustic guitar riff in “Catalyst,” before a masterful transition to the infectious drum pattern of “World Away.” On “Move On,” the album's final song, Tremblay delivers his final performance as Bond., before the song transitions to an infectious pop beat effortlessly ridden by vocals of Tremblay’s next musical project. Just as it seems the album’s cycle is broken, “Move On” sonically morphs, pointing back toward the album's opening.

Cluttered Merch
The unorthodox merch run for Cluttered is one that promotes artistic vision and creation over profit. 10 different designers have come together to create a 1-of-1 clothing piece for the 10 songs on the album, each piece inspired by the respective song. Some artists chose to do digital designs meant for printing, while others opted to handwork their piece. The only money we take from the sale of each piece is to recoup the amount spent on manufacturing, the rest of the profit goes to the respective artist. The designs are pictured below.
